If she has a sworn pact and wanted to break her pact, she could use one of the two Swornbreakers that you give to Almira/Windego/Sadha. I GUARANTEE they are a hook for DLC / Another game in the series. Malady's reasons are something SO unrelated and unknown. Whenever you fail to become Divine, be it giving up source, allowing the God King back in to the world etc, she ends up upset at you for not being able to help HER with her personal problem, because you didn't become divine. Malady and the Godking have nothing to do with one another, actually. TL DR There's a decent amount about the God King. He just seemed like a "final, final boss" character Tl Dr: I wish the God King had more exposition and that we were able to fight him at the end. The demon on Bloodmoon Island said (paraphrasing) she needed help with certain "binding contracts" so I'm not sure what else he could be referring to. Also, on a side note I'm almost certain that the thing Malady so desperately needed you to ascend for, was to get rid of the God King because she swore a covenant with him. I don't imagine the God King is so powerful that a Godwoken with the power of Divinity couldn't stop him. We don't even get an opportunity to stop him/fight him. We don't know how his Covenant came to be (unless this is a thing explained in DOS: EE). But what's up with the God King? We know absolutely nothing about him other than he was the king researching the Veil and siphoning the powers from all of the gods.
